Islander 26 (Bahama?) info wanted

I scanned the pages of posts and only found a few asking for whatever limited info was available. Reviews say they sail well.

I found one near enuff to me to be interesting; but......
Ad lists it as having an inboard, 2-cycle motor. Saildata shows a dwg with some sorta arrangement. The few posts about them seem to have an O/B dropped in a well??? So izzit an inboard or I/O... sorta

**edit note***
Owner sent me details. Its an OMC Saildrive...needs a bit of carb adjust, as it doen't want to idle down once warmed up well. Anyone have experience w/'em?

Next is the beam/length issue. While I like a beam-ey boat; is the shorter length a problem with interior layout? Some reviews say standing headroom.... some say bend over??
**Note also sez that she has 6 foot headroom in main area.. That'll do

Most of the rest of the minor issues are just that....minor Headliner sagging, sole in-process of being replaced, discounts for deletion of tender, mooring and ladder brings sail-away price down to a most reasonable figure... I think?!?!

here's a link to ad;
Islander 26' sailboat '77, with Private mooring, and Dinghy

What say you??
