Re: Intro from Baltimore, MD

I'm over in Middle River. The boat is out of the water for the winter. Next spring she launches and I should, if plans hold, be moving aboard shortly there after.

Welcome aboard to both! It’s good to see more Baltimore sailors here!

Be sure to keep an eye on the Chesapeake Bay section of Sailnet. There’s a pretty large and active contingent of members in the Balt/Annap area and there are usually numerous opportunities for rafting up or meeting up with other local sailors throughout the year.

Re: Intro from Baltimore, MD

We are in Anchorage Marina. It has about 37 or so live aboards but I think at this point they are not taking any more. It is a co-op with folks owning their slips rather than a business. Do you know where you are going to be? I know that the marina near Bo Brooks in Canton takes live aboards. They have very nice facilities and seem quite hospitable towards live aboards. Our marina has a less hospitable attitude but folks still seem to be content to be there. We are slip owners so it is alittle different for us.

We have just been on board since May so we are going in to our first winder full time on the boat. Should be interesting! Luckily it doesn't/hasn't been that cold in the years we have had the houseboat so we have our fingers crossed.

Intro from Baltimore, MD

Just joined - a new live aboard in Baltimore Inner Harbor. Interested in others living in the Baltimore area on board.
