Turns out there is a friend button here. I never knew it. Worse, I looked and I had less friends than TDW. That is scary stuff. Will you be my friend? Good Gawd, just don't let a rodent have more friends than me! I don't know what the friend button does, but we who stand on two legs must group together and not be over run with flea-bitten rodents! Think Black Plague and all that.
Friend me and it will get you... well, it won't get you nothin'. Unless, (shhh quiet now), you wanna make a long distance call to Australia? I gotta a special number to call. It must be done around 9 or 10 am EST. When a certain scratchy, delerious voice answers, just say, "Cruisingdad's My Friend!!". Then hang up. That is all that is needed, believe me.
A pay phone is suggested... caller ID and all that. I wanna keep my 'friends'.
So what say you Sailnetters? Doth we stick together?
Friending me will drag down your credit score, get you an FBI file and cause a weird rash to break out in your nether regions.... but you won't regret it (just ask my friends)
I'd rather be a friend of a rodent than a friend of a bull dog owner! or some such short haired thing with an underbite. Better to be a friend of a cute doggie, or cute/ugly rodent!
That is my story, and I will stick to it......unless said bull doggy owner comes back to the NW, then not sure what we will have to do with him..........rodents we share boats and drinks with........

What's this!!? Everybody look at his signature. I am very dissapointed. And on a sailing site, no less. No surprise, really. And some of you folks wanna be friends with him?? Hmph!
The internet "Friend" thing started with Facebook. People who are not on Facebook seem somewhat mystified by the "Friend" connection, and usually give it too much significance. Being a Facebook "Friend" merely allows you to see certain people's feeds, photos and personal information on Facebook. The distinction between real, in-person friendship and internet friendship is recognized by most Facebook users.
"Friending" someone is also a nice way to show appreciation for a particular person's posts and point of view. I am a Facebook "Friend" of some folks that I have not had the privilege of meeting in person, or have only had a brief introduction and a handshake, yet I admire them or their work, and I am able to read their posts, share their ideas and see what is going on in their lives.
It is easy to make fun of, but it is a great thing to be able to connect with folks on the internet, without being restricted by geography or circumstances.
It' s really about us American's sticking together, those Ausies with there pomp-a$$ accent and silly word's for things. I never now what they're talking about. ie: Wombat, Crikey, etc.
I refuse to devalue friendship by reducing it to a click of a virtual button.
CD, I think you're a great guy, but unless
a) you've got bail money, or
b) you're sitting in the holding pen with me waiting for bail money
we ain't really friends.

Fully connected with a webpage, a blawg, a Twitter account, a Facebook page, a LinkedIn page, a YouTube channel, a Picasa page, and regular participation on a consumer debtor bankruptcy law forum for work and this forum for entertainment...

Free shots at CD are more fun than smacky! Smacky at least brings HIS share of the drinks.....cd on the other hand, along with that fatty charactor, only bring them selves! and eat and drink..........
