There is a V double forward for crew who would like to come along and help. I need one person with sailing experience, that could be one of a couple, not get seasick, a passport, but importantly a good attitude, willing to learn and have fun. I'm looking for people who are interested in the complete trip to Australia.

We will share food expenses. I’ll cover Fuel, dockage, cruising permits etc. You would need to get yourselves to the boat in Puerto Rico.

I'm sailing Misty Blue around the Caribbean and across to Australia over the next 18 months. Cruising VI's then direct to Grenada in May. Cruising West then through Panama Canal November. Costa Rica, Cocos, Galapagos. ETA Marquesas June 1st. ETA Brisbane Oct 1st.

If you are interested add a reply and I’ll send you further details via email.

Hi Captain Wansbury,

Happy New Year!
I would like to join you, first in PR. I know SVI well since we (my Wife and I ) bareboat charter from Sail Caribe (Puerto del Rey Marina) few times.
My longest passage was (as a crew) from Kauai to Sausalito bringing back Bavaria 42 after Transpac.
We own and sail Catalina 27 on the Chesapeake Bay (just this weekend, yes it is cold).
Please let me know how I could get in touch with you and what else you want to know. I heard that you have extensive experience sailing Royal Huisman. Would love to hear about that.

My email is rmacura at gmail com

Happy sailing

Robert

Re: Crew Wanted Puerto Rico to Grenada and Pacific

Hi Ian

I trust you are well under way by now.
Maybe you are still looking for crew for some of the legs to Australia?

Wendy and I are active 56 yr olds and recently retired.
My resume which outlines my professional sailing history is too large to upload.
I have a USL V. and used to own and manage a charter company in the Whitsundays.
If you have a personal email I could send it to you.
Wendy has done a little sailing around the Whitsundays.
She has been a lecturer in the Education field.
Wendy has a great personanlity and is a good cook.

Re: Crew Wanted Puerto Rico to Grenada and Pacific

Hello Ian,
I'm very interested in this adventure! pls see my short "bio", (I have a sailing resume if you need that):

want to Circumnavigate
________________________________________
Hello, I would like to circumnavigate. I live in Southern California and am a "California Girl", yes, long blonde hair, tall, thin, athletic, and often told I'm fun & very energetic. I raised a daughter as a single mom and successfully got her through private schools & college (graduated Magna Cum Laude in 3 years) and launched her into marriage 6 years ago. I have been looking for "the one" or a family needing additional experienced crew for nearly 5 years, but to no avail.
I am a very experienced international traveler (71 countries so far), and an experienced sailor (been racing for 12 years), including Transpac (LA/Hawaii) (2nd place), many Newport-Ensenada (2nd place), Border Run (1st place), Santa Barbara/King Harbor races (1st place). I am certified by Coast Guard Auxillary in Coastal Navigation & Advanced Coastal Navigation and took the Basic Sailing Class when I began sailing. I am presently in yacht sales and own & live aboard an Irwin 30.
Perhaps someone on this forum is looking or knows of someone in need of crew. I can be reached at krazykath28@gmail.com. Thank you to all who take the time to consider this.
Fair winds and following seas,
Kathy

Re: Crew Wanted Puerto Rico to Grenada and Pacific

Hello Ian,

Curious how the sail is coming along. Did you make your ETD from Puerto Rico? If, by chance, you've been delayed, I'll be able to depart Puerto Rico July 2nd and am interested in crewing for you. Reply, PM, or email globalksp(at)gmail.com
