Re: Chesapeake Bay Eats

I seriously doubt that they make their own bread, and when I was there a month ago, the cheese-steak was mediocre at best.

I'd like to pop in and see if they still make their own bread and if the cheesesteak is decent.

Attitude was just part of the flavor at the old joint!!

The food was decent but the attitude... I dunno. I realize they'd been there a long time, and were a local staple, but it was always totally dead when I visited, the prices were high and the customer service attitude was decidedly unfriendly.

Now it's "Angelina's Pizza and Sub Shop". I've no idea if it's any better...or worse.

Pizza at Vin 909 is outstanding!

For a more formal dinner we go to Carroll's Creek. Great food, interesting wine list that has a lot of choices in wines and prices and generally very good service.

Vin 909 Restaurant in Annapolis 4.5 stars Vin 909 - Home
Best restaurant in Annapolis right now in my opinion. Went this past Saturday and I was very pleased with every aspect of the experience. Finally a good restaurant! Only drawback that seems to be a trend these days is no reservations, we arrived at 4:45 and there were already 30 people in front of us... we were seated quickly though, just know before you go that you may have to wait a while.

Now go to Selby Sub Shoppe for cheesesteaks. Good rolls.

After 38 years in business, Selby Sub Shoppe will be closing its doors.

Since 1977, Selby Sub Shoppe has been known in Edgewater as the home of the best subs in the area. The family-owned eatery, filled with friendly service and familiar faces, was a popular spot for locals and visitors alike. Unfortunately, because of family health concerns, the beloved sandwich eatery is now saying goodbye.

Cambridge Main Street - News
I just got tickets to this, I have never been before but it sells out quick according to the slip neighbors at the marina. Has anyone been there before? I can walk there from the slip so I figured why not.

We're heading to The Kitchen in Chestertown this Friday to check out their new location. I hope it's as good as their little Rock Hall place was.

Got it. Looks like a bit of a walk from the Middle River anchorages. Doable but far.
