Re: Why doesn't West Marine...

FWIW - amazon.com has 'Wish Lists' that do the same thing. At first, you could only tag items from Amazon itself; but now you can add items from anywere on the 'net.

Over the summer, I filled my list with a bunch of items (with a variety of prices) and when someone asked what I wanted for birthday or Xmas, my loving wife would steer them to my list.

I got a bunch of stuff that I really wanted.

Don't get me wrong. The holidays are still a bunch of crock that I would prefer to avoid, but at least people were able to get me stuff I wanted* (and not another glove & scarf combo pack). Likewise I was able to get stuff for my kids that I knew they wanted.

They do...they're called "New Boat Owner programs" ...10% off anything I bought for 6 months.

Some would say my relationship with my boat is akin to marriage

Re: Why doesn't West Marine...

Yesterday, I went down to Somers Point NJ to do my food shopping after visiting my mom. Discovered there is a West Marine store across the parking lot..

I may have to shop for food in Somers Point more often

Should have said, single to married, and back to single again....all on the same day!

Why doesn't West Marine...

I'm just curious why don't marine outlets like West marine and go2marine.com have wedding registry's? It seems like a win win situation for everyone. Perhaps this thinking is yet another reason why I am single.
