Just went to a local boat show and found a similar situation. Although there were sailboats, there were not many. Mostly powerboats for small inland lakes which means every single possible variation of a pontoon boat one could think of. I stood on one with a price tag of $104K

Who in their right mind would buy a $104,000 dollar pontoon boat????

EDIT: I just re-read this post. Holy hell! I need to proof-read before hitting post.

Went to Detroit boat show

not a single sailboat, not one. I did run into joe Lafont . He was the only one checking out the 19 ft wooden longboat, replica of Perry's
I asked him a dozen questions, doesn't sound like he,ll be hanging out in the swamps much anymore...more like Hollywood.
