NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- The Volvo World Ocean Race is pitting seven state-of the-art sailing vessels in an eight-month, round-the-world adventure. For the crews it's a test of skill; for the sponsors, it's a multimillion-dollar investment. MarketWatch's Ed Crane caught up with one of the entrants at a recent pit stop in New York.
