We're happy for two friends who at this moment are enjoying the first cruise of their lives, sailing north from Vancouver toward Alaska. The trip is costing them $5,000, though. That means each day (and night) must be worth, by my calculator, about $714.28. What a burden to put on a vacation! I couldn't do it.
