Editor's Note: Staff writer Nick Pinto was among a crew of 37 mates aboard the Friendship as the 18th-century tall ship sailed overnight from Salem to Newburyport, arriving on the city's waterfront yesterday afternoon. The ship will be available for tours through the weekend.
