50 rescued as gales hit yacht race (The Vale Advertiser)

FIFTY yachtsmen were helped to safety after their boats got into difficulties off a North Wales harbour during a sailing race at the weekend. The rescue operation was launched just after 10.30am on Saturday after the 17 yachts were caught out by the wind and rough seas.
