Florida news digest (Sun-Sentinel)

A 17-year-old Tampa boy drowned after he either jumped or fell off a small sailboat in the Gulf of Mexico off Anna Maria Island. Caesar Yaques went into the water off a 10-foot sailboat at about 2 p.m. Monday while sailing with friends, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said.
