COAST WATCH (Orange County Register)

In my last column I wrote about south winds and the frustration they often bring to sailing, mainly that morning winds from that direction usually foretell a weak sea breeze - leaving sails limp by afternoon. So what morning signs would predict a healthy breeze from the west to northwest?
