Steve Fossett plans a run at another record (Vail Daily)

Steve Fossett, a Beaver Creek home owner who has set several aviation and sailing records, this week said he plans to try to raise the land speed record to 800 mph or more by driving a jet-powered racer across the Nevada desert in 2007.
