I sent Mark Cuban an e-mail maybe a week ago. Then another a few days later. The Dallas Mavericks owner replied to the second, in which I backed away from the first salvo's inquiry as to his interest in buying the Cubs, wondering instead if he'd like to purchase, say, a newspaper.
