Australian conflicts of interest (Financial Times)

Macquarie Bank has been sailing close to the wind again. The acquisitive Australian bank was both advising energy group Alinta and poised to join a consortium seeking to buy it. Not even the flimsiest of Chinese walls appears to have separated the two roles during exploratory discussions.
