JANUARY 16, 2007 -- Washington, D.C. -- The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) forecasts the economy will accelerate from the second half of last year to end 2007 with a 3.0 percent growth. MBA expects GDP growth to increase further to about 3.25 percent from 2008 and through 2009.
