Noted computer scientist missing after solo sailing trip (San Diego Union-Tribune)

SAN FRANCISCO, 2:40 p.m. Jan. 30 (AP): The U.S. Coast Guard continued to search the waters off Northern California on Tuesday for a prominent computer scientist who never returned from a sailing trip to scatter his mother's ashes at sea.
