USS Brookings sailing into town Brookings (Brookings Daily Register)

During World War II, Brookings County was one of 100 counties across the nation to have a ship named in its honor. Now an authentic, very detailed model of the USS Brookings (APA-140) is coming to Brookings and will be placed in a display case on the main floor of the Brookings County Courthouse.
