The early-morning scenes are similar at the charter schools in South Bend and Fort Wayne. Most of the students at Veritas Academy in South Bend on a mid-March day are wearing green in honor of St. Patrick?s Day, some walking through the halls chanting, ?We found candy in our locker,? over and over as they go outside for recess.
