A Norwegian and a New Zealand man are missing after they failed to reach Cork, Ireland, after a transatlantic trip on schedule. A massive rescue operation is now under way involving two helicopters, a fixed wing plane, and four naval ships.
This is what happens when you try and cross the Atlantic in hurricane season. A boat attempting the same foolishness was lost of Nova Scotia a few days ago. In that case the crew were rescued at significant risk to the rescue crews.
