Friendly Norwegian custom practice finally in place

The new law that regulates how foreign boats can be left in Norway has finally been changed. Now you can leave the boat for the winter and return in the spring to continue the cruise – all you need is to apply in advance. Read more on TheSailBlog.

One Swede unfortunately met a customs office that could only read the text and act accordingly. He had to pay VAT for his boat after he left it in a Norwegian harbour.

Hum, I know that the Swedes and the Norwegians have a kind of grudge between them but that is really too much
