Sailing community mourns lost sailors

The Bay Area sailing community Monday mourned five sailors who were lost when their boat was struck by large waves, sending the 38-foot yacht crashing into the rocks in the Farallon Islands during the annual Full Crew Farallones Race. “It's gonna be a big loss to this club, as is every one of these people,” said Ed Lynch of the San Francisco Yacht Club. “It's a tough, tough day.” Lynch spoke to ...
