I have discovered my Signet depth gauge is not working, looks like how old digital watcheslook with water in them. I called Signet they said they would check to see if can be repaired . Nly then will i kmow if i need a transducer too. Should i get a hand held one i saw for anchoring my GPS post chart depth so i can be close. I was thinking of getting an all in one speed depth wind and putting a second compass in its place in the fall when i haul out
I wanted to kknow if this made sense or should i pull my gauge and if i do will duct tape protect the hole until i get it back
Check eBay for a used unit.
If it does not need to be interfaced with other instruments, a $100 Hawkeye will work just fine if you put the transducer in a good spot in the bilge with some vaseline.
