Looks like a lovely weekend in Sydney. Definitely off to the old girl for the weekend.

Hey..did I see a bloody Kangaroo hopping about Sailnet ? There goes the neighbourhood.

Peel's ok but full of people on the weekend. The wallopers have also ruined it a bit. The water rats have a landing barge with huge outboards on it and mosey through the anchorage daily, then off at the plane.

I think I'll just go straight to Mooloolaba then up to Wide Bay for a few days. Less people, more sailing.

What you up to?
Hmm I think just I automatically assume anywhere is going to be less crowded than Pittwater/Sydney Harbour!

This time of year though we try to do everything we can to plan our lives as such that we are out during the week as often as possible.

Life is good but busy down here, how are you guys going with life back on dirt??

Everyone but me is loving it. I miss it a lot, find people are pretty shallow on land. I am literally a fish out of water.

It'll happen again - I'll get out on a Pacific loop in a few years. Who knows, might even go further.

What a small world..

About 13 years ago, I went with a group of fellow school students and spent several days in the lifeguard house on the northeast end of North Stradbroke Island.. just a little east of Peel Island..

We were there in July of 1998, so very few, if any, people were out. I couldn't get over how far the beach extended (all the way to the horizon).

That's still one of my favorite places I've ever been. I'd love to go back, and on a sailboat would be even better.

Awesome pics St Anna!!

Hey just catching up with threads on here, sorry I didn't look you up on the way past, the offer of rum was very tempting!!! We actually didn't stop at all but ended up going straight up to Mooloolaba. The sailing was good and yeah ok I wasn't quite in cruising mode so was impatient and in a hurry after spending what seemed like an eternity stuck in Coffs. Now sat in Cid Harbour.
