Javelin hull numbers

I just got a Javelin and was wondering if anyone can tell me how I can find out what year it was made. I forget what the Hull Number was (I'm at work, the boats at home) but the model number is 2085. And is there anywhere you can download a users manual.

Thanks

I bought Class# 2225 Last winter. I am going to lauch it tomorrow (finally) if all goes well.

One site that is indispensable is the Yahoo group. JavelinSailors : JavelinSailors

Also check out The O'Day Javelin Project it is a 'Classic' model but full of good info.

Then finally there is http://www.caskeyco nstructioncompan...sonrise_ 1.htm Which shows all of the upgrades that are recommended by Javelin Owner's Manual by Dan Reiber. (Dan is an active member of the yahoo group above)

As far as the year of your boat - you can use this list:

CLASSIC JAVELIN PRODUCTION HISTORY

YEAR PRODUCED CLASS NUMBERS
1963 1 - 92
1964 93 - 256
1965 257 - 437
1966 438 - 818
1967 819 - 1147
1968 1148 - 1414
1969 1415 - 1728
1970 1729 - 2053
1971 2054 - 2261
1972 2262 - 2376
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++
-Looks like you have a 1971 (final year) model.
The hull number would seem to be the serial of ALL ODAY MODELS produced.
The class number is the number of Javelins produced.
The number on the sail should be the CLASS NUMBER, which would be the number
of your Javelin.
(Look on your boat and see if there is a plate with a HULL number and a CLASS
number.)
If this is accurate then you appear to have a 1971 model.
