Adding Batteries-Where?

Hi all. I've got a question I've been trying to work out and keep coming up blank. I have an O'Day 35 (same as 34 w/swim platform). I need to add batteries for an extended cruise. I current have 4 #27's, 2 located in the factory supplied mount in front of the fuel tank and 2 located in the deep port side locker. Problem with mounting in the locker is the boat lists to port. I plan to add a 5th #27 for starting battery. Has anyone found a place closer to the center to mont these 3 batteries? Thanks.

David

More Batteries

CrusierDave
I am cutting 11 inches off of the fore and aft dimension of the fuel tank with a new fuel tank. It will have a 15 gal capacity instead of 30 gal. We will use gerry cans for extra fuel when cruising. The extra space allows more battery space right on the center line.

Check out the post on the Yahoo O'Day Group about adding a third battery in front of the tank.

I did some measuring and am planning to use this idea to put two Group 27s side by side in the same location.
