O'day 27 vs. CS27?

Hello,

We are newbies to sailing and are looking to buy our first boat (wow, what a process!) We have narrowed it down to two, an O'day 27 and a CS27. Both are from the late seventies and in similar condition (sound, but need some cosmetic work done). Recommendations?

I'd have to ask first.. what are your plans and what type of sailing would you be wanting to do? Personally I think everyone should have a 30 or larger boat! So I may not be the best one to offer advice. LOL

Mostly day sails and some weekend cruising around the Gulf Islands/ San Juans. We have definitely gone through some two-footitis; we started looking at 22's then 25's and here we are looking at 27's! I think we are going to stop ourselves at 27 feet for our first boat, however

What years on both boats? I don't know much about CS other then that are well built boats. I know that Oday has a couple of different 27 foot models depending on the year.

Also, are they comparable? Do both have inboards, condition, etc.
