I wasn't born to sail. I was born to raise sailors! I took the two wee heathens out for sailing, and on their first day out the wee-est one was standing on the lee bench trailing her hand off the transom to feel the rooster tail from the rudder, and my son was manning the tiller. Yeah, their ages don't even add up to EIGHT, which is still ten knots below the wind speed that day. All this in a 14' dinghy. I am the proud father of two positively salty children. You won't be seeing us soon...

I can't believe I'm going to defend Surf here, God knows he doesn't need my help, but I can't help myself.

If you're not amused by his postings, don't read them! Don't assume that yours is the only point of view. Believe it or not there are people that find things amusing that you might not like. You must be a Democrat trying to impose her/his view on others!!!! and not understanding that maybe someone else could possibly have a different point of view.

Are you saying you would prefer a "pure" Democracy?

Are you sir a "Puritan"?

And once again; do you have somthing against democracy?

Out of all the post here (On this thread) this one has to be the best. No finger pointing nor flag waving. Totally unassuming and to the point. I believe the essence of what the board could be was captured in this snapshot. I can identify totally since I raised pilots.

If I were a Puritan I don't think I would be participating on this thread. No, I am not saying I would prefer a pure democracy. I am proud of our Republic!! What I am tired of is government trying to legislate everything I do from using a cell phone to ..., next it will be when I can go to the bathroom.

You're forgetting that they already control that bodily function . . . while onboard your boat that is. Inside of 3 miles offshore, you either keep it in your bowels, or in your tank. Big Brother's watching your every move(ment).

Right on Jerry.
Jolnir's post brought a smile to my face as I read it. My 2yo is too young for that but I look forward to the day.
