SVSamba, while it might have appeared the surf wasn't appreciated, I do not recall anyone openly cheering his demise. That pride comes before a fall, is not news, but schadenfreude in the sailing world is rarely acknowledged. Losing a boat for any reason is sad.

Given his behavior and attitude, this could well have been a simple case of "what goes around, comes around". Absent any facts, pertinent to the situation, one can only surmise without any assurance of certainty what led to this sad state of affairs.
