Soul, dude, I was wondering where you were going with this whole rant of yours. On the one hand, it's a sweet punch to the teeth. I mean, for crying out loud, your Orr-vitar is losing his stick and flying through the air after a sweet hip check...in a freakin' HOCKEY GAME. Now that's FC!
But, then with the "drama" thing, I was afraid you were turning all SandraO or something...and was about to start talking about art field trips, knitting, and completely whacked self-justification. And then I saw your chill out when called on the "little girl" thing. So I must be careful here...'cause I dig your moxie.
On the one hand you're right, there was a lot of whining going on before the ill-fated SN Diaspora. And there is definitely irony in this whole thing as people realized the true value of this place. They couldn't talk about ONE thing here - but over there, even though they could talk about that one thing, EVERY other aspect of what's good about this place was verboten...and enforced by crazed "Vicious Pitbulls on the Dock".
So, personally I'd say you scored a clean hip-check and some teeth are skittering across the ice. On the other hand, don't whine about the "drama". Dude, it's fun. Otherwise you wouldn't be stirring it up too. You big drama-sucker.
Finally, I think the most important lesson from all of this is some sweet new Sailnet slang:
1. We are now "SiNcity". Like it.
2. Everyone else is just an "ArseHat". Like it.
