The natives are restless!

That friggin' hammer hurts dude.

Came home early on a Friday night. Got my Sailor Jerry's and Ginger beer in hand.

Got to get up early in the morning. My son and I have to go to the cabin and get the pontoon in storage, pull the docks, drain the hot water heater, drain the water lines, blow the water lines, sail our little Chrysler LS13 dingy down to the loading ramp, wrap that for winter, and bring home the little whaler fishing boat for winter storage. Did I leave any damn thing out? Oh yeah we have to pull the paddle boat up on to the dock sections and wrap with a tarp.

Going to be a work weekend. But we will have fun. We'll have cold beer and hot dogs on the camp fire by the lake when we take breaks to get warm. An annual event.

Headed back later on Sunday. I don't have any access up there so I won't be talking to you gals til' Sunday night. Don't kill each other off while I'm gone. Lol.

Maury

It's been raining for three straight days now and they're calling for gales on Sunday. Cabin fever setting in...

Hey Pain,

Thanks for that. Simple, message recieved and understood.

I think you set the karma gods against you when you send out bad vybes. I tried to get rid of the mainsail and everytime I looked out, it got gusty. It was weird - telling me to leave it where it was. Today we got squalls.

We need to post some good karma in a Peace Club thread.

In winter. we head north to the tropics - too cold where you guys are.

OK, I'm going to send some good vibes out to fellow member Sailhog who had to sell his boat. I hope he reads this to receive my good vibes: Sailhog, I hope the buyer doesn't take a black light to your settee cushions before the check clears. Those of you who have read Hog's posts will understand.

Now that's funny, Pain. I always feel sorry for any dude losing his boat...even when it's hog.

But I feel way sorrier for the dude that'll have to clean that particular C30. Talk about bad karma.

BTW - here's the buyer...

WAASSSSUP!

Hello FC. I made it back. Sorry I didn't post yesterday I was a busy bee. I was a guest speaker for 3 separate High School economics classes yesterday. So that took half a day. When I finally walked into my office I was a bit buried.

Anybody go sailing? What about you Hobie one? Did you get any of those hot girls on the trampolines? lol.

I am really going through withdrawals big time now. At least we have our awards dinner at the club this weekend where we tied for 1st overall, that means all fleets, for the season. We did that with crap sails and no number 3 for the last 4 races as it was flogged on the Mac in a storm as funds are tight here in good ol' Michigan. I'll get to talk with gang and be with my fellow sailors for a while anyway.

I thought I was going to be doing a delivery from Tawas but that must have fallen through. Got to call that guy today.

Well gotta git'

Maury

Welcome back man!

I haven't gotten to sail since last Tuesday, withdrawals are already setting in. Quick withdrawals from living somewhere with a 10 month summer haha. I am sailing today though, when I get home from school, with a friend around the bay some, and then doing a distance course Saturday,
I am still trying to pay off my boat haha, it's getting where it's just like why do I own this and not sail it?? Work harder and pay it off so you can sail it dumb-dumb!

Overall good sailing weather, 70 degrees is a bit nippy for us down here though, but it's been blowing a steady breeze for a while now.. Last Saturday was 25 with gusts to 30.

I'm BACK...work interfers with my playtime.

70 degrees is a bit nippy for us -

so funny, it's been in the 30's at night here!

St Anna- love the animation!!! LMAO

(I'm going for the "good karma" today)- let me share....

My lovely, smart daughter is returning from the south pacific where she's been working in the yachting industry for 2 1/2 years. I guess a tsunami or two are good motivators. Let the progress of my gray hair be stilled...'til she sets out again. She was in American Samoa six days before it was leveled. So much drama...so little time, such is a mother's fate. Oh, did I mention she's moving in TEMPORARILY...hmmm, I move into a place that has the square foot of a walk-in closet and they still come home! Could 37ft be too big??? and the beat goes on....

Much sympathy to those who suffer the pain of removing thier vessels from the water- we used to put winter batteries in and keep a small heater onboard so we could visit on the hard, always made it to the boat on the first snow and Christmas!

NEW Fight: The tax evading capitalist that I am hates when marina rules are so stringent towards subcontractors that it's nearly impossible for the small businesses to do work on thier property. I have to have my boat shrink wrapped "off property" because the hard working reasonably priced folks I hired don't carry 2 million dollars of general liability insurance. (They only carry 1 million.) WTF?
