Bite me, Smack. One man's whine is another man's backchannel diplomacy.
Smack I have no problem with people leaving this site- but announcing that you are leaving with a passive/aggressive slap at some of the membership here is a cheap move... and then to slide back in months later, hoping nobody would notice? At least man up and re-introduce yourself.

You're telling me about passive-aggressive slaps? Dude, my chest has been pink for two years from those. So what?
Anyway, I've never been one for backchannel anything. Too manipulative and bs-ridden...and I say that from being at the sharp end of that stick a few times. That kind of stuff is about trying to "control the community" and work "fan club politics" and that's the exact kind of thing that I think is whacked (as you can clearly see since the day I joined this forum). I could give a damn about that kind of crap.
I can't count how many times people have left here with a rhetorical flourish...some deserved some not. But who cares? Did he do something to you directly? Are you asking him to apologize to you - or to someone else? And if it's someone else...why don't you let them work it out?
I'm just saying that, unless he hammered you directly, you obviously have some notion of etiquette in your head that was breached by the Bubble - and you feel he needs to do some grovelling to repair it. But from my perspective - he was justified in getting pissed. So it ain't cut-and-dried.
You said it yourself...he's back, it's all good. So man up and give it a rest. I would hate to lose you as a member of my fan club.

Who said anything about an apology? Or grovelling? I figure if you're gonna take your ball and run home, then when you decide to come back it might be good form to say "hey guys I'm back, and hope the experience is better for all of us" Not an apology, or grovelling, just an acknowledgement that you're giving it another shot. That's it. And then a molehill became a mountain. I fired YOU a pm because obviously you still have a solid relationship with Bubbles, and I figured maybe you might be able to clear the air, and maybe give me a second opinion thatr might change MY opinion. If you don't like the passive-aggressive slaps you have gotten, whipping-boy, then maybe you can see why I like to see things a little more straightforawrd and clear, like, oh, announcing one has returned when one has previously stomped off.
I backed Bubbles play back in the spring, and i would have been happy to back him now, but his pm's sure ain't making it easy.
