sorry but this one's been giving me orders for more than twenty years. i love the classics, and this one's still gotta lotta miles left one her, so i think i'll keep this one.....

Did somebody say....I'm awesome?

I couldn't stop laughing while I was making it. I mean tears of laughter - picturing all the various AFOCers of days gone by (and current) in that lime green leotard.

Priceless.

gotta friend toying with the idea of building a thirtysix foot newhaven ketch rigged oyster sharpie. this guy is a miracle worker with a piece of wood. said he'd need an extra hand with the construction when he got started. i 'bout knocked another guy over to get in the conversation.......

now i'm a machinist, metal fabricator, welder and mechanic by trade, but i can run a tape measure and a screw gun. just the thought of building an eighteenfifties designed vessel that will run up the ass of a lot of these fancy new fibreglass models makes me a little stiff. gotta look up the admiral......

imagine a wooden thirty six foot sailing vessel planed off. i smell a serious bfs story if this comes to pass......

Sit back and relax. Take another hit and chill out. He got nothin on us. I know I've read his jokes. ( do not mistake this for thinking the jokes are funny)

Gonna look at a 30ft Columbia with a fin Keel this weekend and turn it into a cruiser. What do you all think of Columbias? I talked with a gentleman that had a 36 and he said the 30 had as much room as his did. He took his all around the Islands so I think it'll handle a circumnavigation.

I may be seeing you on that beach sooner then you think Anna. start getting the fire wood ready.

bill tripp or alan payne boat? sparkman and stephens designed a 29 footer. tripps boats were mostly high bowed bubble top cabin styled. beamy and quite roomy. paynes boats were metric with more of a standard layout. i went below in a bill tripp 34 mkII and it was like a hotel. 7' 4" ceiling in salon area and 6' 5" the rest of the below decks. sweet......

guess ya could say i have a little knowlege of'em. check out the columbia yacht owners association for more onfo....

now my little contender? no headroom, but sleeps four wonderfully. but, if yer in the cabin, ya ain't sailin........
