I took my 11 y.o. son to his first "rock show at a club" last night. And it was freakin' AWESOME. The Dropkick Murphys at Emo's here in Austin.

He's really gotten into them over the last year - and I felt we needed to take the opportunity while we could. He was a bit overwhelmed when we first got there due to the huge crowd of punks (not that unusual for Austin) - but he was clapping and singing along with "Shippin' Up To Boston" by the end of the night.

One of those really great times with your kid.
