I love this time of day. Everyone in yankeeland has gone beddy byes and I have the place almost to myself. What mischief I could get up to. Well I could if Cam wasn't a bleedin insomniac. GO TO BED MAN, ITS LATE ! Maybe Cam's actually Nosferatu Incarnate. Spooky.

Anywho, as an adjunct to the top twenty, what about first albums ?

My first album (me mum bought it for me, thanks mum.) was the Beatles Hard Day's Night . First album I bought with my own money was Cream's Disraeli Gears.

Hardly anyone bought albums when I first started buying music. 45's were the big thing then. Most album sales were big band music or classical.

It's only going on 7 in the Central Time Zone, and there's four more by the time you get to Hawaii.

Oh, not as late as i thought. Guess it's quiet cos it's Saturday Night over yonder.

Funnily enough I never did get into buying singles. A few very early Beatles etc but that's about all.

I was already 15 by the time the Beatles came out, and that's pretty much when buying albums took off here (as I remember). I didn't really get into albums till '67 when I had my first car and put an 8 track in it.

looks more like a Racoon than a wombat !!

It's Autumn down here now. Summer but a memory. Winter just around the corner. Mind you, down here that doesn't mean much other than a sweater instead of a t-shirt when we go out on the briney.

When I was but a young prat I had a mate who was working in a record store and he'd give me the album covers that were used for promotions. For years I had a Dion Cover on my bedroom wall at home.

I was a bit young to really get into the early rocknroll stuff at the time but I did get to see Jerry Lee Lewis once. That was a blast.
