There is a marina near here called Lowes Highport. I know CardiacPaul knows it. There was a guy that used to own the Bene line there that stood on his boats with boots. Cannot remember his name (he was the owner/salesman). Not little boats either (40CC Oceanis, for example).
People are "interesting". And for the record - I own a cowboy hat and a pair of boots... and love 'em!! (but not on my boat).

Hate to tell you guys this but the best cowboy boots on the planet are Tony Mora from Spain. This lil ol' Wombat has about ten pairs of boots and the best of 'em are all Tony Mora. Don't wear the boots on boat but do wear a Stetson.
Maybe there is a market out there for CB Docksiders ?
No ?
Didn't really think it would work.

I'm Kinda partial to my Justins. They are workboots. All leather, steel toe. Best boots I have ever owned. They are not show boots, they are working man boots!!!! Funny you should reply too, TDW, as my favorite cowboy hat is the ole outback looking leather hat. I think many of the shops here market it as the australian cowboy hat!! When I have them on, picture, 'The Man from Snowy River.' (Good Aussie Western flick).

I don't know the origin of the leather hat. I'll track it down. Traditional Oz drovers (that what we call a cowboy down here) wore more of a felt hat. I've got one that I wear in winter alternating with a traditional Basque beret. Stetson's for summer. usually witha loud shirt. It's sits well with my motto - Grow Old Disgracefully.

I thought getting older came with a dispensation for eccentricity, garish and/or loud clothes, and general behavior that makes young girls giggle.

When your boyish good looks have rode off into the sunset, loud shirts and silly hats is about all you have left.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
