Chuckles - speaking of corn, lets not forget the subsidies to farmers for NOT planting corn, and soybeans too. More government intervention.

Whatever happened to all the oil we ever needed in Alaska? Oops, time to take the boy to school, hold that thought.

My family has a small farm in south-central Iowa, and my mother receives a check from the government if she does NOT grow anything on it. Incredibly, Iowa is chock-full of pink, pear-shaped people who complain about the government.

Ah, here we go now:
Eskimo village sues over global warming - CNN.com
Appears a Eskimo village on a barrier island is in danger of falling into the sea because of erosion caused by lack of sea ice.
So they sued a bunch of oil companies and electricity providers for causing global warming.
Note the article says the
"Damage to Kivalina from global warming has been documented in official government reports by the Army Corps of Engineers and the General Accounting Office, Pawa said."
Pawa is the attorney for the village.
I did some looking, found the reports which are actually only the estimates from the army corps of eng's for moving the village, it has been trying to protect and relocate the village for quite some time - and at no point does anything say the errosion is caused by GW, it is natural island 'flipping' that occurs to barrier islands - learned about it on Asseateque Island last month while visiting.
It's a Barrier island, it's supposed to errode, it's what they do!

[QUOTE=RAGNAR;272932]

And, yes, many of them have called for controlling populations with drastic measures.

Cite one 'leader' of the Green Party one that said we should kill some? Define population control with drastic measures if that is not what you mean.

Just admit you didn't realize it was tongue in cheek because you are too polarized to see that.
