John, John, John, of course it's Pres. Bush's fault, er, wait a minute, are we talking about the INCREASE in the total ice, if we are then it's not a result of anything the Pres. has done. Let's go back to when the ice was decreasing, that is all his fault (of course). I'm assuming that the increase in ice is directly attributable to Algore NOT buying the 150' houseboat and doing the right thing by making do with the crappy little 100' model.

It's hard to tell with Bush, cause even when he's right, he's wrong.

This is a response to an article excerpt that Jody posted on Arctic warming trends in another thread. I had promised to do some research and respond on this thread but happily...someone else has done the research for me along with lots of new data as well. Here's the article...looks like a happy winter for the polar bears!
Ice Reality Check: Arctic Ice Now 31.3% Over Last Year, plus Scientists Counter Latest Arctic ‘Record’ Warmth Claims as ‘Pseudoscience’ « Watts Up With That?

Funny thing about Mother Nature, she just pretty well does what she darn well wants, not matter what we say.

I'll say it again for younger readers. In the next five years or so you will "suddenly" have trouble finding anyone who really believed in global warming. You'll still find people who will finesse the issue by professing a concern for pollution and depletion of the earth's resources but you won't be able to get them to admit to buying into and selling the GW argument. Why is this important for young people? Because the people who've propagated this stuff, like nuclear winter before it, and a host of other environmental issues will still be amidst you. And they'll do it again. It'll be something different, but you'll recognize the signs. The most indicative will be the "fact" that there is a "crisis". When you hear crisis from these people check your back pocket because there may well be a hand in it not your own, if that's where you carry your wallet.
