Here's the likely game plan for the greening of the energy sector under the Obama administration. As the article states, it may be easier to get this passed during a recession than normally. Right now a fifty cent gas tax increase takes us to $2/gallon versus $5/gallon two months ago.

Trading Up

Sway,
I got some bad news for you. Yesterday the high here was 64, and today it's forecast to be 65. Those facts don't lie, pal! Global warming is real!

Considering your average high for Nov. is 68 I'd say you are cooler than normal.

I'm right up the coast and our temps have been running 5-8 degrees below normal averages.

That means that you'll be fully 30 degrees above the Sway sailing threshold for temperature. Enjoy!

Rockter will become famous soon enough
I was up at Loch Ness the other day, and there was a gale blowing and I was freezing.

It was colder than this time last year.

If it keeps going like this it will be -50 degC by 2071.

There is a great old book called "Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds", examines financial boom/busts through the ages. GW could be added as the next chapter IMHO if it was strictly a financial delusion. It's interesting how if something is believed and promoted by a "reputable" person, others tend to follow without doing their own investigation of the "facts". From there it's just the snowball effect, until, of course, reality takes hold and it all melts away.
