Unfortunately, if they "are" right, we be in a non-reversable world of poop!
I suppose millions of years ago, the numerous volcanos did all the polluting.
There's no end to it..Get underway today, just incase there's no tomorrow ;-)

How far are we willing to go to accommodate this obscure, unfounded, historically improbable scenario? Why ignore that the mentality behind this prediction always sees disaster behind the next corner, and instead of acknowledging their error when The End doesn't come, they move on to the next pseudo disaster?
Thing is, if they're right, they should be able to prove it. As this subject stands at present, after decades of BS, evasions, inner turmoil, trillions of dollars, etc. it's obvious that there's no case to be made. (If your friends lied and twisted things as the Green leadership does, you'd shoot them and do the time.)

How do we establish that what volacanos have done is pollution? Aren't they a part of Nature?
Further, the volcanic eruptions sited as contributing more "pollution" than Man's total output, did so as Man was on the Earth -- that's far less than millions of years ago. (Example: Krakatoa's latest eruption happened a nanosecond ago, geologically.)
The latest example of "their" MO,and, therefore, who they are:
(Those of you who've taken a history of philosophy course are aware of the ominous echo of Kant's destructive book, Critique of Pure Reason. It will always be a war between Plato and Aristotole.)
In a suburb of Dallas called Farmers branch, the voters recently passed an ordinence that requires landlords to recieve documentation that the prospective resident is a US Citizen, DL, SSN, Birth cert.
Before the vote, a group was formed that did not want the law to pass. The name of this group is "Let the voters decide"
The law passed with 68% of the vote FOR the law, and 32% against.
You know where I'm going with this. People in Farmers Branch voted by a 2 to 1 margin to pass this law.
Monday afternoon, the group known as "let the voters decide" went to court with the ACLU to get an injunction to stop the law from going into effect.
The unelected federal judge granted the temp. injunction.
I guess "let the voters decide"... works only if it goes your way, if not, go to court.

It takes a minute to realise why Paul posted the above info in the Global Warming thread. After that minute though, you will perhaps have seen into the same crystal ball he has, and have the prescience to see how the GW debate is likely doomed to play out. kudos.

Which is why, it matters, who appoints the unelected judges ..... who serve for life.

The only way around: activist judges; groups that appeal, twist and threaten until they get their way; politicians that can barely think short-term; all the evils most people fled by migrating to the US, is to limit government to three areas: protection of individuals from physical force and fraud (police and courts,) and the military. Anything more than that not only obliterates Individual Rights, but feeds/empowers the worst elements of the culture in question.
BTW: It is completely appropriate for a judge to toss out a referendum that violates an individual's rights (not that this is the ACLU's motive.) Nothing could be less American than Majority Rule. (This is one of the key perversions so many of us have accepted wholesale.)
