I don't know what the tree huggers are driving now that Volvo is back to making cars, instead of lorries, but I do know I thought I had it bad until I read what you're driving! I thought SEAT went the way of the Trabant. Does that one have a transmission or is it a "push to start" with a compression release on the 1 cylinder diesel? (vbg)
Thanks for making me happy I own my lousy Ford truck, I thought this day would never come!
btw,
I'm not holding my breath for an answer from them either.

Have at me, I drive a hybrid SUV, but it doesn't get anywhere near 70 mpg, nor does any other vehicle in this country.

Here's something to think about ......
What do you think the carbon footprint of the Super Bowl is? Or of making a movie? How about running a theme park? Or producing an IPod or X-Box? Surely these can't be considered essentials and certainly not more essential than transportation.
So think about what's being targeted for "change", and who is doing the targeting, and how it affects them. Then tell me this is a serious crisis.

And the 'leader' of the movement, algore, has a house that uses 20 times the energy of the average house while the evil one, GWB has a very eco friendly home in texas. Not to mention algores poluting zinc mine.
Do as I say, not as I do.

Think about the carbon foot print required to hold all of SD's 17,000 post on the sailnet servers. Man, I'd bet you could power a medium sized African village with that power.

Well, the SEAT has the Volkswagen 1400 cc turbo diesel motor in there, and they even manage an electric start, a heater, indicators, 75 hp when angry, and a top speed of about 105 mph, and supremely easy on fuel if you drive it the right side of flat out. It is very similar to the VW Lupo, for those that know them.
Now, I ask again of the Global Warmists. What car do you drive? I am all ears again.
I hope for the sake of your credibility that it's not an SUV. Because if you believe in this Global Warmist stuff, and you are lecturing a SEAT-owning sceptic from the cab of your SUV, perhaps your argument is all volume and no substance.
Dare I use the word "hypocritical"? Dare I? To attack a sceptic from an SUV cabin???? Think about it.

As for the "evil one", even George Bush acknowledges the presence of global warming and man's contribution to global warming. This debate should really be focused on how best to limit further warming, fund continuing research and adapt to climate changes.

The graph in cams post #478, starts at 1700 and ends past 2000. What would the graph show if it went back to 1600,1500,1400 ?

And can anyone tell me how many volcanoes had catastrophic events between 1300 and 1700. All within 200-300 years of each other.

We truly are a nation of sheep.
Will asia adapt? No, I don't think so. They're over there laughing their @$$ off watching us.
I drive a Ram. Plan to give it to our boy for Christmas. Gettin' a new one for me . . . with a bigger engine. The wife drives a Camry hybrid - not because she's scared for the planet, she just likes it. I do too, damn good car!
