I know there are conservative politicians who support GW, including Bush, Gingrich and McCain. I have posted that previously. I still think the debate largely breaks down along political lines, especially in this forum.
I am still waiting for someone on this forum to make the statement that they are conservative and still support GW.
Is it because my questions only require a simple yes or no that they go unanswered?

What's going to be the most harmful to the planet, is the irrational responses, that are so off the wall, so far out in left field, it makes you wonder how we can be labeled one of the smart animals of this planet.

PBreezer: Is global warming harmful to the planet? Or is merely harmful to mankind's current state of existence on the planet?

Depends on what's meant by "current existence."
Fact is, we have the capacity to discover how to control all kinds of aspects of nature. Weather manipulation would no different than any other "miracle" brought to us by scientists and entrepreneurs.
French wine regions have been blasting rain clouds away in late August and Sept since the plane was invented.
The Pentagon tried to induce heavy rainfall to curtail the VietCong with promising results.
The Chinese are learning to empty the right clouds at the right time to assure a dry Olympics '08.
When animals take measures to live their lowly, survival-is-all-I-can-hope-for lives, the Greens point to it as a sign of cognition and greatness. When Man derives things like the technologies that make it possible for the Greens to study these animals in unimaginable detail, that act is reduced to genetically caused, dangerous, evil, unNatural.

That is the scary part, how many times has something been forced upon us, for our own good, only to find out later, it made the problem worse.
I'm not following the " business as usual " mindset, I think we should continue to search out friendlier alteratives for our energy, what I'm saying is, let mother nature run her course, use those technologies to adapt to the changes that are sure to come with or without anthropogenic influence, not alter our natural climate course.
