What's really scary isn't that they will do something about it, it's that they don't have a clue about what to do besides throw money at it, or raise consumer prices as the after-effects of regulation.

Another site referred me to a graph on junkscience.com that shows the absorption rates of various atmospheric components.

H2O vapor mimics CO2 and, in the higher wavelengths, dramatically outdoes CO2.

Since H2O vapor is several orders of magnitude more prevalent than CO2, I say we ban water in the name of...what?...what's the point of this whole freakin issue? People who don't bother to acknowledge the need to hold this debate in the proper context, hate facts, and have no clue Re the Law of Causality are daring the rest of us to either disprove the unproven or submit to an agenda that sees Man as an entity that sits outside Nature.

Enough!

OMG! Causality! I have to quit smoking because everytime I flick my bic I increase the surface temperature in Europe!
The real cause of GW is that I changed my diet to Brocolli only, and the resulting methane gas is being used to power my entire subdivision; which then puts out more CO2 than it should.

Indeed. I beleive we would petition to have the EPA add dihydrogen oxide to the list of pollutants next to carbon dioxide. Perhaps we could even tax emissions of such a deadly greenhouse gas. Heated swimming pools and hot tubs should be banned (sorry Al Gore), as should any process where the most powerful and evil solvent on earth is converted to a gaseous state. This should include the anthropogenic processes of making tea and coffee, of using heated water for showering, and any activity (exercise, sex) which leads it increased metabolic rates which correspond to alarmingly high emissions of dihydrogen oxide and its evil counterpart carbon dioxide. We have a serous problem here..

Kinda like giving up the things you enjoy, so you can live longer ........ and be miserable.

I gave up sugar when diag'd with type 2 diabetes, that meant all the things that taste good. I was happy for the first 25 pounds off.
I'm not giving up sex and coffee so someone with oceanfront property can stay oceanfront.
My yard is 30 feet above water level, bring it on.
