Retclt, that is really funny.
On the earlier topic of Dems=Smart, Repugs=Stupid, that whole idea is silly. The single biggest indicator of whether you will vote for a Democrat or a Republican is proximity to the center of a large city. The closer you are to the center of a large city the more likely you are to vote for a Democrat, and the further you are out in the hills the more likely you are to vote for a Republican, it's as simple as that. To say Dems are smarter means that you think city folk are smarter than rural people, which is absurd. As a percentage I'm sure there are just as many really stupid city people as their are really stupid country people. Genetics don't change just because you live in a high rise.

nonsense. I didnt say repubs were stupid, just that W is or certainly seems to be. I do think repubs will fall in line behind whoever their high command tells them to. Witness the folks on this very thread who earlier said they hated McCain and now say they will vote for him. That doesnt mean they are stupid, just that they are a top down bunch who do what they are told. In fact, it has gotten them quite far in electoral terms so it clearly isnt a stupid strategy. Some wish the Dems would behave that way too but it will probably never happen. We are too disorganized and lack the respect for authority that is needed to behave that way.

I shouldn't ask, but ..... do you have any association with reality or logic? If McCain is the GOP candidate, and Obama the Dem, WHY would anyone who wanted someone more conservative than McCain, vote for Obama? Has nothing to do with "orders from the top". It's called picking the lesser of two evils.
To use your logic, everyone that voted for Hillary in the primaries, would vote for McCain in the general. Because Dems don't vote in lockstep, like you claim Reps do. Shessssh, don't you ever think through what you type?

Seems to me to the core of the dem party is the white non-college grad blue collar worker.
Now college degrees don't indicate smart-ness; but do indicate a level of education. After all if education = smart then OB boy wouldn't be spending the tax cut elimination dollars four times over (Pilliary spends it three times).
In any case saying dem's = smart just doesn't add up any more than saying blue + green = 4, which perhaps proves the point that dems <> smart (<> means not equal to).
I'm not reading that McCain haters are now pulling the lever for him because they do what they are told, I'm reading they will pull the lever for him because the alternative is (OB boy or Pilliary) is much, much worse.
Dem's aren't disorganized, they are too fruity to follow a path.
I like being independent. I can take shots at both sides Unfortunately for the dem's they make a bigger, slower, easier target.

Sck5, well ... you should have said Democrats are smarter than Republicans, that's much more inflammatory and makes for better arguing.

No, just a lot of us, because we don't have a good Libertarian/Anarchist to vote for.

PB thinks I have no relation to reality. Do you also think the war in Iraq is going well? Perhaps those WMD's are about to be found! Maybe the model airplane they found over there is about to be launched and sent to New York loaded with nuclear weapons! If THAT is your reality then no wonder you have trouble with mine.

sck, I'll give this one last shot. I base my statements on what you post. Your statement above, bears no resemblance, whatsoever, to anything I've posted. If you'll go back through all my posts, you'll find that nowhere, no I make claims about subjective matters, ie: things open to interpetation. I can't say if the war in Iraq is going well or bad, because there is no common standard to base a decision on. I can say, and do, that it appears to be going better. That the policies now in force are an improvement over the previous ones, but that is, and only can be, an opinion. And that is how I state it.
On the other hand, you take an opinion, and present as a statement of fact, ie: Rep voters take their orders from the top.
Unless, and until, you realize the difference, it is pointless to have any type of discussion with you.
