You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Seems obvious to me that you do not have many friends here sailaway. I am your friend though.
Hey Cam... how do I do that sticky thing again, and can I redirect Saway into it everytime he signs on?? (smile)

CD,
I WOULD sooner have my sister employed in a bordello than rely on your "trusty" friendship. And you, and the Dallas Cowboys, can certainly, "Bite Me".
kwaltersmi,
If you read the opening post to this thread you'll get a vague idea of it's nature. It originated after a major kerfuffle over something really important, yet controversial, like boat fender inflation pressures or some such. At the conclusion of the conflict, wherein 60% of the respondants admitted that they did not even own boat fenders, it was pretty well universally agreed that we were singley and collectively a bunch of asses and full of crap. Since that time, membership in the AFOC club has become a quite sought after distinction. The best way to gain admission is to start a "range war" over something you know very little about and post on the subject at great length. After every sailnet sailor with home electrification is suitably incensed it is then appropriate to offer a mea culpa via the explanatory words, "I'm an ass, and full of crap". This has the added benefit of making obvious those posters capable of conceiving there own human fallibility from those who see only their own God-like wisdom.
Giu, for his sins, is the temporary semi-permanent president of the organization, although his duties are undefined and largely disruptive, if not ceremonial.
