I don't think Cam said he was going to kick her out...just that she wasn't telling the truth...

I didn't read anywhere for her to leave or anything..

We have been (way before you arrived), haunted by doublers, and we are all kinda on the look out for fishy posters...

If someone comes here and says stuff and we interact...we feel decieved if in the end ...well you know....

But never did I feel Cam was banning her, not at all.

And to be honest...I suspected of "foul play" too...why would a newbie come here, post only in the Off Topic and in a few hours worry about Rep Points???

Most of us only found about rep points much much later, some that have been here more than a year only recentely found what they were...

So she (maybe by coincidence, I don't knoow), comes here, on the same week of the rep point war...we are suspicious

Jody...I have not kicked anyone out. She violated no rule. I am not doing anything xcept saying that I will have nothing to do with her since she lied without any need to lie. She ain't going through proxies...she ain't in Chicago and she hasn't been since she started posting. Nor does she know anything about the Chicago weather right now except though accu-weather. I am NOT guessing here Jody. Since you are friends...she can tell you privately that this is true and why she did it. You can choose to believe her and remain friends or whatever you want to. I simply refuse to be friends with anyone who lies for no good reason.

I don't see any lynching here, just a question of whats going on. She can explain if she wishes to.

Art, it's OK...I believe you...I also call a lot of other people here, including.....gulp...Sailingdog....

and I have met many....

But let me tell you something, just as I feel it now.

We are all here, some of us meet other people from here, heck I even invited 2 monkeys whom'm I never seen before to sail with me, my boat with my family for 3 days....

I know its up to each one to decide who is who and the risk envolved, in meeting people from here, but if we start with a dubious start, it undermines the further meetings we may have...this is after all as you said a comunity...and a comunity needs the following of certain guide lines to advance stabilize, be trusth worthy and evolve...

That is what i think...I don't really care where she is or not....its a source of suspicion, and we don't need that.

Besides....I think Cam is doing a greta job in "finding" the suspicious and the doublers...

He is not a cop or the FBI of sailnet...he is like a safetu advisor....this site is not his either...he moderates it not for sailnet, but for us...

I don't believe anyone said you don't know Chicago, just that you aren't there, or anywhere close to there, now. xxx's a lot different than Chicago.

The reason for the concern is that you stated that you were going to school in the Chicago area, when your IP is in Florida. That was a lie that served no purpose. If you didn't want people to know where you were, you could have just not told where you were. If you're lying about that, what else are you lying about?
