Not to mention, this is Lake Michigan, he'd probably die from hypothermia before he had a chance to swim back, about 9 months out of the year.

To be honest the only vroom rooms I like watching these days are the GP Bikes, the Super Bikes and the German DTM when I get a chance. Reality is that once you get into watching the bikes four wheels gets pretty boring by comparison.

Grand Soleil? Do they go faster than .01 knots?

I think she meant .1 Knots.

We usually do a little better than that. EVEN ON THE BENE.

And PB is correct, early spring water temps are probably in the high 40's.
Hypothermia sets in very quickly. You only have about 15 - 30 minutes in the water before you are incapacitated.

Actually, if you're older and in only mediocre health, you have a pretty good chance of a heart attack when you hit the colder water.....

Julianna... does Stjk1 have any health problems like that... that you would have to worry about.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

The only NASCAR race I even make an attempt at watching is the one at Watkins Glen, which is a road course. For me, it is the speed changes, not the ultimate velocity, that makes the racing interesting. At Watkins Glen, the NASCAR boys always look like a dozen boys trying to jam their way into a porno theater with the parson walking down the block towards them.(g)
