sailingfool will become famous soon enough
For the first time, I just scanned this thread to see what its about. I guess I don't know why I have ignored it to date, it wasn't on purpose, so it must have been just good fortune. And now I am done forever with it.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Has nothing to do with PC-enforcement, but everything to do with making choices. I don't ask anyone to behave as I wish, nor put them down if they don't behave as I wish. Nor, to be blunt, as I have stated before, do I give a rat's ass what anyone thinks of me or my opinions. I express my views and let people decide what they are worth.

What my previous statemet was about, is that I choose not to participate, endorse, or implicitly condone behaviour I find unacceptable. It's nothing more, nor less, than that. Which is the exact opposite of being PC.

If other's find that kind of discourse enjoyable, interesting, stimulating, or intellectual, so be it. I don't. If that makes me a *****, then all I can say is ..... meow.

Good for you John... Unfortunately, certain people like to encourage discord on this site, and must be sad egocentric narcissists to make a thread that centers around them.

CCP-

John's decision has little to do with PC enforcement and much to do with having standards of common courtesy, ethics and a functioning brain—all of which you seem to lack. You rail about the Aussies not wanting to let you in to their country, and from everything I've seen, if I had a say, I'd kick you out of mine...

You're repugnant, abusive and bigoted.

Blaming everything on the Jews makes about as much sense as blaming it all on the women.... In any dynamic relationship, no one group can be totally responsible for anything.

I've put you on my ignore list, and highly recommend that the people here who care about sailing do the same, and stop wasting time on you and your diatribes.

I am so glad I never opened those other threads.
It seems to have started with the Religious thread. (I personally have nothing against religion; I am very active in my Church; that is my choice; obviously)
After that, these threads have continued to degrade to the point of worthlessness. They are not even worth the effort it takes to click and open them.

John and the Dog are accurate in the descriptions. I thought we had gotten past the Fight Club.

Heh PBZeer

I have been following your trip ever since you left Clear Lake. You need to learn how to spell Houma, however.

But it was amazing this morning, when I, who lives on the south side of the Albemarle Sound, directly across from Albemarle Boats,(and who used to live in the Houston/Galveston area) watched a beautiful sloop with a dingy in davits, and a blue UV on the genny pointing east, which went under the 32 bridge around 9AM.

Spent last night in Edenton, did you? Where you headed, Manteo?? Just stay well south of Harvey Point...the boys in black don't like you getting close.

That was me alright, and yes, if I make good time, it's on to Manteo. Only thing that worries me out here are the dang crabpots, since the 10 - 15 knots, increasing to 15 - 20 aren't anywhere in sight.

So ...

Giu posts really vulgar photographs ...
sailingdog chastised by Cam for personal attacks ...
PBeezer dukes it out with surf ...

Giu runs out of material and bails ...
sailingdog admirably cleans up his act ...
PBeezer goes to sea and saves his soul ...

And Bob finally strings more than two words together.

I used to moonlight doing postmortems, and I can assure you, none of this is worth taking seriously, however, you should see Missionary concerning an afterlife if there is one ...

If yer gonna visit Doodyville, don't bitch 'bout da strings.

AMEN
(and no, that's not an attempt to push religion)

Bob, hope your fingers aren't too tired after that. Seriously, thanks for the perspective, but i wouldn't put money on it making much difference.
