Well I'll be a Son of a Sailingdog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

COBOL indeed! (Common Business Oriented Language) Thanks fer brushin away the cobwebs SD! It does feel nice to be able to identify with the middle ages of 'computin'. I also met my (unfortunately ) ex-wife during the curriculum. An unbelievably sexy female sporting a tie dyed t-shirt and a bandana for a belt, on most days, in the commons. I remember....... but I digress. Go to igottadirtymind.com for the vid! (just an illustration on how far things have evolved)

I told you ass----! 20 pages of dog related crap and Jeff shut her down, finally! Metaphysical certitude there is a God.

My dog was getting goofy over it. Everytime I said, "GD#%@#$*&^%dog" he thought I was referring to him and he'd go hide! If I was a certain poster, I am sure he would have his own doggie shrink, but I'm cheap and dog bones make up for all transgressions! think I'll have one myself, just to celebrate.

Camaraderie,
I like to consider myself a man of many parts, but it has come to my attention that there are certain deficiencies in my knowledge. Perhaps I was at sea when the practise in question was at it's zenith. I would, though, hate to have wasted half a century without having truly lived it to it's fullest. So could you please explain to me how to "dog pile", assuming I have the requisite number of "Fags" available? On the latter, if I happen to be short a few, what type of person can I substitute and at what ratio? Dogs are really taking a beating around here lately, but that has not turned me off to my own labrador, and I'd hate to miss out on something more fun than "fetch".

ReverendMike will become famous soon enough
Considering all the fun the dogs are having, i'm regretting being a 'cat person'. Cats don't pile, they just sort of lay there, not really much fun...

I'll give it a try.
When we were young and playing football, after somebody was down on the ground, we would all pile on the guy on the bottom. It was called a "Dog Pile".
So anytime as a group you pile on some body its a Dog Pile.
In this case the person making the comment felt as if everybody was picking on her, or piling on her.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
